We transformed an existing two-story loft space into a three-story, live-work space to accommodate a client’s changing needs and compact footprint, while preserving over two-thirds of the open loft.
By shifting the program to the rear of the building, we were able to create a three-story stack of support spaces within the existing two stories. A winding stair with translucent glass railings mediates between the levels, and a lightwell above supports continuity and visibility throughout.
