Extent is a permanent, hyper-specific programmed structure located in Morongo Valley, California that explores the spatial and visual limits of its environments.
Created collaboratively as a part of design laboratory Space Saloon’s nomadic educational camp, Extent is at once subtle and dominant, with the space between and around its two parallel walls enabling activities of rest, viewing, and play. In dialogue with the vastness of its Joshua Tree home, the structure performs as an instrument that reciprocally imprints and projects onto its site.
