The Wirewax system was created as a custom, re-usable and adaptable installation at SXSW. Its deceptively simple design features two primary components: CNC-milled panels and custom steel connectors.

The panels are hollowed out to reduce weight, and have a continuous reveal along their perimeter to accept the custom connectors. There are only a handful of custom steel connectors that are used to join the panels together at different orientations and to withstand different forces; in every configuration, the panels remain unaltered.
